Q&A

Take a minute to read this.

We don't just make things for motorsport, we do a little bit of everything. In 2024 we developed a lot with new machines and new tools. We have recreated original parts for older cars and also motorhomes, boats, computers and other things and it is surprisingly cheap to buy from us but that's how we want to try to have it. We compromise by reusing materials both in manufacturing and packaging, good for you and good for the environment!

But what is good to know is that:

1. Our products are mainly made of ABS or ASA Plastic

2. We manufacture with 3D printers.

3. Our products should not be treated with Acceton.

4. For best durability and to ensure warranty coverage, we recommend that our untreated products be painted.

5. We have approximately 2 weeks lead time.

Can you produce parts that are no longer manufactured?

Yes. Race3D specializes in just this. With 3D scanning and CAD modeling, I can recreate parts with extreme precision and in modern, strong materials.

Can you make your own special solutions?

Absolutely. Many customers come with a problem or an idea, and then I develop a customized solution from scratch.

What materials do you use?

I mainly use functional materials such as:
• ABS / ABS-CF
• PETG / PETG-CF
• TPU
• Nylon
The choice depends on what the part must withstand (heat, UV, flexibility, strength, etc.).

Can I order a 3D file instead of a physical part?

Yes, almost everything can be delivered as STL/3MF for your own printing. Corporate customers can also get STEP for further editing.

Do you scan the customer's original parts?

Yes. You can send me a part and I will scan and recreate it digitally. Perfect for unusual or cracked details.

How long is the delivery time?

Usually 2–7 business days depending on project scope, material and queue status. Larger projects or series production are quoted separately.

Can you mass produce my parts?

Yes. I run both small series (10–100 pcs) and larger batches. Price per part decreases with volume.

Which vehicles do you work with the most?

I work a lot with Cars but accept projects for all sports, including special, rally and racing cars.

Can I get a product customized for my car?

Yes. Many of Race3D's products are modular or can be customized to your measurements.

How do I order?

Via the webshop, via email or by contacting me directly with your idea or part you want to recreate.

Can you help companies or retailers?

Yes. I offer design, prototyping and series production for companies and manufacturers. Contracts and OEM solutions can be arranged.

How much does a custom-designed part cost?

It depends on complexity, material and whether scanning is required. Smaller projects often start around SEK 299–799, larger ones are quoted individually.

Can 3D printed parts withstand heat in a car?

Yes, if the right materials are used. ABS, Nylon-based parts can normally handle both summer heat and cold without problems.

Can I get my part in multiple colors?

Yes, both multi-color printing and varnishing are possible.

Do you offer express?

Generally not – but sometimes for an additional fee, if you need something quickly before an inspection, competition or customer delivery.

Do you ship throughout Sweden?

Yes, with PostNord and Schenker. EU deliveries are also available.

When Race3D writes that we 'reserve all rights', it means that we are not waiving any legal possibilities or protections that the law gives us.
Even if we first try to resolve a copyright infringement through dialogue, this does not mean that:

  • we grant permission to continue using, selling or distributing our files

  • we waive any claim for compensation for previous infringement

  • we limit the possibility of taking legal action in the future

  • we accept or approve any form of unauthorized use

To avoid misunderstandings, we would like to clarify the following:
Race3D contacting a person who has violated our license terms or copyright is not an approval or compromise.
It is just a way to give the person a chance to fix the problem without further consequences.

Regardless of how the situation is communicated or resolved, Race3D maintains:

  • full right to request removal of content

  • full right to stop further use or sale

  • full right to claim compensation for infringement

  • full right to take legal action if necessary

The fact that we choose a friendly and professional tone in the initial contact does not affect our rights, and does not mean that we waive any opportunities that the law gives us.
